Every book has a story behind its creation, and I’m thrilled to pull back the curtain on mine. My debut book is not just a collection of pages; it’s a culmination of my personal and professional experiences. Today, I want to share a brief behind-the-scenes look at how this book is coming.

Writing a book is no small feat, and establishing a routine has been crucial. I carve out dedicated writing time early mornings, allowing for a focused and uninterrupted flow of creativity. Setting small, achievable goals and sticking to a calendar for deadlines has helped me stay on track and make steady progress.

Every writer faces challenges, and mine have included perfectionism and lack of follow through.  One helpful strategy has been to acknowledge that I can either want something to be perfect or I can want it to really exist.  I am choosing, at least for now, to allow the imperfect version of things to exist.  If I were to wait until my debut book was perfect, no one would ever read it.  Another is creating and sticking to a schedule that includes deadlines.  If my perfectionist tendencies love one thing, it’s checking items off of a to-do list.  

The inspiration for this book comes from both my personal experiences and professional background. My work in mental health as a therapist along with my experiences in business provided a rich foundation for the book’s content. I also conducted extensive research to ensure that the advice and strategies offered are both practical and evidence-based.  My hope is to create something of value, and that someone will find it worth reading.  

Writing this book has been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to share it with you. I hope this glimpse into the behind-the-scenes process gives you a sense of the effort and passion that went into creating this book.
